Learn Russian in St.Petersburg

Learn Russian Where it is Spoken
Thousands of students travel abroad each year to learn foreign languages. They realize that the most effective way to learn a foreign language is to learn in the country the language is spoken and may be used not only in the classroom, but all day and in the street, shops, restaurants..

- Liden & Denz- Russian language school in Russia

Liden & Denz was founded in 1992 as a private company teaching Russian to foreigners. The school, which is one hundred percent Swiss owned, was recognized by the local St Petersburg government as a private language training institute in 1995. International recognition followed when, in 1997, Liden & Denz became the first Russian school to join the International Association of Language Centers. IALC member schools are committed to guaranteeing the highest standards of language teaching within an efficient and reliable organization.

The school operates year-round and is situated in a quiet area of St Petersburg's historic center. Besides Russian the school offers evening courses in English, German, French, Finnish and other modern languages.

Learn Russian- Experience in St.Petersburg:

  • The former Tsarist capital of Russia has gone through tremendous changes since its name reverted from Leningrad to St.Petersburg. The city, which was founded in 1703 to be a window to the West, is once again becoming Russia's gateway to Europe after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

In view of the many problems which have arisen since the end of the former communist regime, it comes as no surprise that St.Petersburg today is a city with many different faces. The results, both positive and negative, of the recent developments mark the face of the city as much as the countless palaces and the beautiful river channels which inspired Dostoyevksy while writing his novels.
